Hello Everyone-

We have been so touched by your kindness!  Your willingness to donate your time and effort and money underscores what wonderful people you are and what a wonderful community we have when we come together.  It helps to know that all your efforts will result in support getting to people who need it, and I’m hoping you’ll take as much satisfaction from that as we do.

As I reflected on these tumultuous three years, with Hannah’s diagnosis, struggle and death, the love that you surrounded us with, and the good that has come from her Crush Cancer Concert vision, I really am overwhelmed and at a loss for words.  I hope you understand that the feelings are truly that powerful.

While planning this year’s concert, I was reminded of a radio interview Hannah and I did to promote the first concert.  I couldn’t find the audio file anywhere, so I contacted the DJ, and it arrived in my email this morning.  I think it’s the most fitting thing I can share with you as an attempt to articulate our gratitude because Hannah’s voice is the best voice, the best insight, for this occasion. Please take a moment to listen to a small snippet of her voice and absorb the profundity of your efforts. This is a girl who was stricken. This is a girl who was hurt. This is a girl who tried to make it better for others.  In reaching out and helping, you have done the same, and we are forever in your debt.
